IN-STUDIO GROUP AND PRIVATE LESSONS

PIANO, GUITAR & A WHOLE LOT OF FUN

WHAT WE OFFER

We’re in the business of developing everyday music lovers into lifelong musicians, using sustainable and modern methods.

PIANO

Our piano teachers meet their students where they are on their instrument. For younger, brand new beginners, we keep learning fun by using games and challenges. For more advanced students, we aren’t afraid to dig into that Beethoven sonata or the intro to Bohemian Rhapsody. Regardless of your age or skill level, our teachers are supportive mentors that keep their students on track and motivated to continue to improve and enjoy playing the piano.

GUITAR

What could be cooler than learning to play the guitar? Guitar is the symbol of rock music, but is also an extremely versatile instrument. Whether you’re looking to become a shredder, or you prefer the sound of acoustic singer-songwriters, we’re here to help you play the styles you love. Our guitar teachers follow each student’s musical interests, and use their experience to serve as a friendly coach guiding students toward their goals.

VOICE

What are the three most important parts to any great song? The vocals, the vocals, and the vocals. Your voice is your own personal instrument. What could be greater than learning to use that instrument to its full potential? Our voice teachers take a personal approach to teaching their students how to best use their voices, and provide them with the tools and support they need to bolster their confidence and become better singers.

UKULELE

Who doesn’t love the sweet, happy sound of the ukulele? We encourage young guitar lovers with little fingers to start with ukulele and then graduate to its big sibling, the guitar. It’s a great starting point to get a feel for a string instrument without the investment and commitment of a guitar. Our teachers are here to support our ukulele students and help them play their favorite songs. Ukulele players can book our guitar slots to get started.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

So you’ve still got questions about our music lessons studio? No worries— we’re happy to answer.

  • We mostly focus on popular music, but also cater to students interested in jazz, blues, classical, country, etc. Let us know what you’re into! If it’s a super niche style (like Himalayan microtonal folk yodeling) we’ll do our best to match you with an instructor who specializes in that style.

  • You’ll pay the same amount. Our pricing is based on a monthly tuition, so you pay the same price each month regardless of the number of lesson days. It averages to four lessons per month, and you can take a look at our yearly calendar to see our time off.

  • Lucky for you, we’re fully equipped with beautiful keyboards in the studio. We are working on stocking the guitar room with guitars as well (coming soon).

As for your practice time at home, we’re happy to make recommendations! We even have a resources page with all of our favorite learning materials and gear listed. Though it is not 100% necessary, we strongly recommend that you have your own instrument ready to go for the first lesson.

  • For most students, we strongly recommend our group piano and guitar lessons. We recognize that there might be times when group lessons are not suitable for a student, so we welcome special requests about private in-studio lessons if you truly believe it would be best for your child. Of course, we encourage you to first try group lessons for at least a month and speak with our studio director before making that request.

  • We do! We organize at least two performance opportunities each year, and even held our first virtual recital in December 2020. Typically we do one at the beginning of summer and one around the holidays.

  • For young beginners, we recommend starting out with 15 minutes a day. It is much better to dedicate a modest amount of time every day then to cram it into one long practice session right before the lesson!

After only a few weeks of lessons I am progressing at a quicker pace than I had been trying to learn on my own for a few years. He does a great job at meeting me where my skill level is and always pushing me just a little bit more out of my comfort zone. His shared enthusiasm for music makes getting motivated for next week's lesson easy.

Professional, courteous, and absolutely a genuinely wonderful teacher, I can't recommend him enough. Seriously wish we had somehow found him a long time ago- don't even hesitate if you're considering ATL Music Lessons, it's fantastic.

Aaron is amazing as a business owner and instructor! I ended up learning from him for a couple months virtually and he really makes fun and engaging! I decided to go to in person lessons with one of his instructors (Rodrigo) and had an awesome experience. He was so patient and understanding of life events interfering with practice. I learned so much from these guys and would definitely recommend them!
