Frequently asked questions
+ What if there are five lesson days in month?
You get the 5th lesson free! Our pricing is based on a monthly tuition, so you pay the same price whether there are 4 or 5 of your lesson days in the month.
+ What if I do not have an instrument yet?
We are happy to make recommendations! Though it is not 100% necessary, we do recommend that you have your own instrument for the trial lesson.
+ How quickly will I be able to play guitar/ukulele/piano/bass?
This may come as a shock, but it depends entirely on how much you are willing to practice! Just like sports or math, regular practice is essential in rapidly improving your skills. With regular practice, you will be playing songs you love easily within the first few months of taking lessons.
+ What if we are going out of town for a month?
Got vacation plans? We get it - everyone deserves a break. If you are going to be out of town for more than two weeks, you have the option of unenrolling from the program and re-enrolling when you return. You do, however, run the risk of losing your time slot. If your time slot is important to you, we do allow you to reserve that time slot while you are gone for ½ tuition.
+ Does ATLML offer recitals?
At this time we do not. We will, in the future, be organizing real-world performance opportunities such as open-mic takeovers. Please let us know if this is something that is important to you and check back with us regularly!
+ How much time do I need to dedicate to see results?
For young beginners, we recommend starting out with 15 minutes a day. It is much better to dedicate modest amount of time every day, than to cram it into one long practice session right before the lesson!
